Rubber Open Mixing Mill

  • The open rubber mixing mill has two horizontally arranged rollers, and the process of rubber (or plastic) mixing is carried out between these two rollers. This machine is simply referred to as an open mill. It mainly consists of rollers, a frame, a gap adjustment device, and a transmission device. The material is drawn into the gap between the two counter-rotating rollers by friction due to their different linear speeds. As the material passes through the roller gap, it undergoes intense shear and compression, causing its temperature to rise and its plasticity to increase, thereby achieving the purpose of rubber mixing. It is mainly used for rubber mixing, warming, sheeting and plasticizing.
